Privacy Policy

TidyPix ("the App") is developed and maintained by Tommy Ong. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use TidyPix.

Data We Collect

TidyPix processes all photos entirely on your device. No images, thumbnails, or photo metadata are ever uploaded to any server.

• We do not use analytics or advertising SDKs.
• We do not track your usage, browsing habits, or location.
• We do not sell or share any personal data with third parties.

Crash Reporting

TidyPix uses Firebase Crashlytics to collect anonymous crash reports when the app encounters an error. This data includes:

• Device model, OS version, and app version
• A random installation identifier (not linked to your Apple ID or personal identity)
• Stack traces and crash logs

Crash data is used solely to identify and fix bugs. It is not linked to your identity and cannot be used to identify you personally. No photos, photo metadata, or personal content is included in crash reports.

Photo Library Access

TidyPix requests access to your Photo Library to scan for duplicates, similar photos, screenshots, blurry images, large files, and Live Photos. All scanning and analysis happens entirely on your device using Apple's built-in frameworks (PhotoKit, Vision, CoreImage).

• Photos are never transmitted off your device.
• Duplicate detection uses on-device SHA-256 hashing.
• Similar photo detection uses Apple's on-device Vision framework.
• Deleted photos go to Apple's "Recently Deleted" folder with a 30-day recovery window.

In-App Purchases

TidyPix offers a one-time Pro upgrade via Apple's In-App Purchase system. Purchase processing is handled entirely by Apple and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not collect or store any payment information.

On-Device Storage

TidyPix stores the following data locally on your device:

• Scan history (dates, category counts, reclaimable bytes) — stored via SwiftData
• Daily deletion counter — stored via UserDefaults, resets each day
• Pro purchase status — verified via Apple's StoreKit framework

All local data is deleted when you uninstall the App.

Third-Party Services

The only third-party service used is Firebase Crashlytics for anonymous crash reporting. No other third-party services, APIs, or SDKs are integrated. TidyPix makes no network calls beyond Crashlytics crash report uploads and Apple's StoreKit purchase verification.

Children's Privacy

TidyPix does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
